Chile
In Chile, menstrual poverty is everywhere, schools, prisons, low-income localities, etc. In addition, menstruating people represent 51% of the total population, which is huge and the government has not yet taken action on the matter.
The annual expenditure of a person in menstrual products in our country would be around 48,000 pesos (66,000 USD)
For the moment, In January 2020, resolution 663 was approved by 133 votes in favor in the Chamber of Deputies. This "asks the President of the Republic to send a bill that provides for the free distribution of menstrual hygiene products in educational establishments with State support, in public health centers, prisons, shelters and people who live on the street", as stated in the Chamber Press Room.

Our Efforts:
-
Fundraising & donating menstrual products to localities that need them most
-
Create a national campaign urging the government to lower the price of all menstrual products using social media and educational discussions
-
Build safe spaces for conversation and understanding
-
Generate changes at a global level
